Cynthia Stickler
Cynthia Stickler is a Brooklyn-based artist. She has been making art since early childhood, when her father gave her a box of crayons and she set out to “make a color no one had ever seen.” Her practice is rooted in a lifelong visual imagination shaped by an early childhood in Ohio surrounded by barn animals, as well as by formative experiences in museums and galleries after her family relocated to New York City. Stickler has an undergraduate degree in art history from Pennsylvania State University. She describes her life simply as “my father, the dog and the work.”
